I had regular e-mail and live chats with them. They recommend booking the Premium resorts well in advance. The price at David's site was still high but for a five night stay it was coming at least 500-800 dolars less compared to Disney official site, depending on the resort. I was reluctant to risk the holiday of a lifetime. There are some long-time regular members in Disboard who rent out their points but there was no way I could confirm the identity of the member without employing a private detective and there was no legally binding document. Renting privately was the cheapest option. I found The Disboards forum quite helpful to understand the DVC rental process. Did extensive research as I also had similar worries. I know I'm stressing about this a bit early as I can't actually book anything til I've agreed time off at work which I can't do until early August this year - but I would like to have decided everything beforehand. Are there hidden costs? Is it open to UK visitors? Would we get the EMH and 60day FP?, If it is cheaper why does anyone go through Disney? However, I feel a bit suspicious due to the "if it's too good to be true." maxim. So I've come across David's DVC which seems to show 8 nights at OKW in July for $5376, still more than I wanted to pay but we could stretch to it. I've considered staying off site but would prefer the Disney bubble and EMH and FP options. My dream would be OKW 2 bed villa or a villa at Beach Club or Boardwalk. However Disney is expensive especially as we insist on a villa or suite with everyone having their own sleeping space, a living room (which could double as sleeping space for the 12yo) and a kitchenette. Ideally we would have 8 days in a Disney Hotel, 2 nights in Clearwater, then 6 nights in a Universal Studios hotel. Questions about a reservation?
